We LOVE Draw Write Now! at our house! We have the entire collection of books and our children can't get enough of them.
The basic idea behind the books is that children are shown how to draw in a sequential manner. The books take them through drawing everything from turkeys to people to trees. The books are so simple and well thought out that children can "self teach" as they go through the pages.
Along with learning how to draw, children can practice their writing skills by copying the sentences the books provide under each drawing. The sentences are related to the pictures they draw and emphasize learning more about their subject.
Draw Write Now! is perfect for younger elementary students, but even my older elementary children enjoy these books.
